Divisions

Patrol Division

The University of New Orleans Police Department’s Patrol Division  is staffed twenty-four hours a day seven days a week. All officers are POST certified and are commissioned by the State of Louisiana with arrest power.

Parking Division

The Parking Division is responsible for parking control on campus and the issuance of parking decals to students, faculty and staff.

Internal Affairs Division

The Internal Affairs Division is responsible for all internal investigations of University of New Orleans Police Department employees.

Student Housing Division

The Student Housing Division is responsible for the safety and security of the dormitories on campus.  The dormitories are staffed twenty-four hours a day seven days a week.

Training Division

The Training Division is responsible for the training of the University of New Orleans Police Department Officer in the following aspects:

• Firearms Training
• Monadnock Training
• Verbal Judo
• Self Defense
• Pepper Spray

The following training is provided to the students faculty and staff of the University of New Orleans:

• Rape Aggression Defense (RAD)
• Personal Safety
• Apartment and Residential Security
