BICENTENNIAL EDUCATION CENTER  Faculty member reports a glass door at the Education building to be damaged. The faculty member gave a description of a b/m he observed in the area with a fresh cut on his hand. Officers found the subject in the surrounding neighborhood. Upon being stopped the subject admitted to damaging the door. Subject was tranported to lock-up and booked with Simple Criminal Damage to Property.

PONTCHARTRAIN HALL SOUTH  Victim locked and secured his privately owned bicycle to the bike rack located at Pontchartrain Hall South on 08/19/2008 (5:00pm). Upon returning to the location the following day at 9:30am, he discovered his cable lock cut and lying on the ground and his bike gone. Also present was another defeated locking device suspected by the victim as previously securing another bike that was at the location when he secured his bike.

PRIVATEER PLACE  Complainant said she returned to her apartment on the date of report at 3:00am to find two of three window screens missing from her apartment windows. Additionally, she observed palm and finger prints on her windows causing her to suspect someone tried to enter the apartment without authorization. Neither the victim nor her room mate was able to advise the reporting officer when they last saw the screens properly mounted on the windows. New Orleans Police Department notified.

The incident was witnessed by a contract worker who described the perpetrator as an unknown black female wearing yellow pants and driving a green Ford Escape.

BICENTENNIAL EDUCATION CENTER  Complainant reports he and a colleague used a digital camera belonging to another associate during a class on 07/29/2008. The complainant said he exited the class and the colleague retained possession of the camera. It was at that time that the camera was last seen by the complainant. The colleague was interviewed and remembered the incident, but did not remember having physical possession of the camera.

FIELDS/PLAZAS MAIN  Victim parked her privately owned vehicle at the Human Performance Center's field on 08/04/2008 at approximately 12:00pm, with no apparent damage. After attending a University hosted event, she returned to her vehicle, started it and it made a loud noise. The complainant turned the vehicle off and looked at the under carriage to fine that someone had sawed off and stolen the catalytic converter. No witnesses located and no further information available at the time of report.

Subjects were discovered in dorm room with two residents. upon contact officers detected marijuana and conducted a search of the room. During the search officers found multiple bags of marijuana and paraphernalia. Subjects were taken into custody and booked accordingly.

PARKING LOTS  Male partner in estranged domestic relationship tracked female to library. He waited for her in the library parking lot and would not let her leave campus. He entered her personal car without authorization and refused to exit. When he did exit the car he took the victim's car keys. Male subject stated that the only way he would leave the female alone was via restraining order. Additionally asked victim and witness what they would do if he shot all three of them at that moment. Subject arrested by UNO Police and charged accordingly.

NAVAL INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CENTER  A 22 yr. old male reportedly jumped off the Pontchartrain Beach pier to go swimming and appeared to have trouble staying afloat. The subject submerged and did not resurface. Officers and Coast Guard personnel searched the area with no success.

The subject was transported to the Juvenile Division of the New Orleans Police Department where she was turned over to the custody of her parents.

Argument stemmed from altercation which occurred in Jefferson Parish. Female threatened to destroy central plant staff time cards if male subject did not return a key. Female left campus without further incident after police intervention.
