Simple Robbery Reported on Campus on Tuesday, April 21

UNO Police responded to a simple robbery on Founders Road on Tuesday, April 21 about 9:10 p.m. A student who had just left the Chemical Sciences Building was approached by three youth on bicycles. One of the youth hit the student, causing the student to fall down. The youth then took the student’s cell phone.

The suspects are described as male African-American youths. One, about age 14, was wearing a black tank top and blue jeans. The second, about 11 years old, was wearing a white T-shirt and dreadlocks or braids in his hair. The third suspect, a boy about 9 years old, was wearing a blue baseball cap and rode on the back of one of the older boy’s bicycles.

Anyone who sees youth riding bicycles on campus and meeting the above descriptions should call the UNO Police Department at (504) 280-6666.
